The Allianz E-Village is Formula E's family-focused fan zone. For Season 6 of the E-Village, the Formula E team worked closely with renowned sports illustrator, Chris Rathbone, to develop a set of dynamic car illustrations that formed the basis of a refreshed visual language. The illustrations, and the distinctive speed lines within the illustrations, were utilised across a vast range of physical and digital touchpoints throughout the E-Village, creating a celebratory and energised environment.
ACee & DCee were Formula E's mascots. I worked on a new look for the futuristic electric racers to align with the 2018 Formula E rebrand.
The designs were taken by the team at Rainbow Productions and transformed into full scale mascot suits. I was involved throughout the process, working with Rainbow to refine colours, materials and graphic placements before final production. The ACee and DCee illustrations were also used across printed and digital applications around the E-Village.
The Formula E Fanguide is a one-stop shop for fans to learn about the teams and drivers, the event site and the timetable of the event.
I created a clear and digestible layout that accommodated both English and local language copy. On the reverse of the guide, I created an isometric map for each race of the season that offered a practical guide to the event site in a visual style that matched the family-fun tone of the E-Village.
